Lightbox on a subpage with the integrated lightbox

hey folks,

I was wondering if anyone has already done a subpage with pictures and lightbox / lightbox with groups. (with the integrated lightbox)
I follow the normal way how the lightbox website it advice but this will not work.

normally it should be for single images...

Re: Lightbox on a subpage with the integrated lightbox

Please try;

<a href="img/test.jpg" class="lb">
<img src="img/test.jpg">
</a>
<script>
$(".lb").lightBox();
</script>

If that doesn't work, try;

<a href="img/test.jpg" class="lb">
<img src="img/test.jpg">
</a>
<script>
$(".lb").each(function(){
$(this).lightBox();
});
</script>

Re: Lightbox on a subpage with the integrated lightbox

Thanks thomas,
both things are working fine, do you know if I can group some pictures in this way to have a gallerie to switch directly between pictures in the lightbox?

Re: Lightbox on a subpage with the integrated lightbox

The plugin I use isn't "the real Lightbox plugin". It's this one http://leandrovieira.com/projects/jquery/lightbox/ . I used that one because the "original" one gave problems, as far as I can remember.

If you check that page, it seems it has something that's a bit like the group functionality of the "original lightbox".

<script>
$(".lb").lightBox({fixedNavigation:true});
</script>

Re: Lightbox on a subpage with the integrated lightbox

found a site which fix a problem that large pictures do not auto scale... just replace the lightbox.js with the following code

http://www.sourcepod.com/twhbtf88-5047

only thing which need to change is the path for the button pics at the begin of the script.

e.g. its 'images/lightbox-ico-loading.gif_ and have to be 'plugins/lightbox/img/lightbox-ico-loading.gif'

works fine for me... smile

Re: Lightbox on a subpage with the integrated lightbox

hey chrisly

thanks for the files, i got it working, very cool!!

i laughed with pleasure when i tried scale 3 when the unexpected happens, the tile almost disappear.

that brought me on the idea to the possibility to unveil something, so i stumbled into the next problem(s)

* why does 3 scaling tiles on the same group act together?

* why is a picture always on top and the scale tile underneath??

thanx for the pleasure
hans

p.s.
i saw on your site that you did something what seems very complex with tile groups and unactiveTiles and so on.

You can edit every scale in the JS, size, duration etc.

When you use 3 times the same class it will happen that they act as a group, you can define dirrent classes to avoid this, It´s bad coding but I dont know it better smile

regarding the picture and scale tile... put the scale tile behind the picture tile in the tiles.php

Re: Lightbox on a subpage with the integrated lightbox

the scale tile behind "normal" tile works, it doesn't with tilesliders, are they working different?

transparent backgrounds can't by itself  cover up another tile of course.

Re: Lightbox on a subpage with the integrated lightbox

hello thomas

I changed the lightbox.js and the path in script. But can you write, how I get my gallery with multiple images in the lightbox? the goal is to click on a slideshow tile and a lightbox pop up where I can switch between difrent images.

is this possible?

thanx

Hi thomas,

Both these solutions don't work.

I'm getting this error:

Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'lightBox'

Re: Lightbox on a subpage with the integrated lightbox

Question is plugins/lightbox/lightbox.js and plugins/lightbox/plugin.js the same?
Can I just copy the code Chrisly gave a link to in there?

And is it not possible to make a tutorial for it because a lot of people wants to have a grouped lightbox with images I think

Hope you can help
