Issue with changing the "your Website" section at the top.

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I am trying to rework this template a bit to resemble an British Tabolid called "The Sun"

I am trying to get the top bit, that says "Your Website" to look like this:

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=the+s … 80&bih=946

I have gone into the CSS but it breaks the header into Main and Sub and I am having no joy in adding custom styles to general.php as well.

if anyone has any ideas or suggestions it would be greatly appericated.

Thanks

Re: Issue with changing the "your Website" section at the top.

Hi,

quick and dirty:

edit index.php, find:

<h1><a href="<?php if($bot){echo "index.php";}?>#!"><?php echo $siteName?></a></h1>

replace with:

<a href="<?php if($bot){echo "index.php";}?>#!"><img src="path/to/image.jpg"></a>

Perhaps Thomas will make it possible to use images as logo as well in a future update wink

Pie, that would be great idea!
Hmmm thinking that I could use an image in the #headerTitles { class in the css...

going to try that now... thanks for the inspiration!

PS: I just changed it a bit:

change the original line to:

<div id="headerLogo"><a href="<?php if($bot){echo "index.php";}?>#!"><img src="path/to/image.jpg"></a></div>

Put this in your themes/YOURTHEME/theme.css:

#headerLogo {
	margin-top: 10px;
	margin-right: 100px;
}

Now you can position and style it better. This snippet works for me, you may have to adjust margins to your needs.

Pie; add at least an Alt tag and preferably a "title" tag to your image smile

Ignore me....got it sorted.  I had to adjust  #navItems width in nav.css.
