Starting a php-script from a tile?

Hello,

is there a way to start a php-script (without (!) opening a new page) by clicking on a tile?

I'm a newbie to php and the Metro UI template, so maybe there is a really easy way - which i just don't know... Any ideas?

Many thanks...
JH

Read about Ajax in Google.

There are a couple of topics about it in this forum, i.e. this. Use Search to find rest of them.

Look for Ajax in jQuery. That's "pretty simple" to implement, depending on what you need.
