Iframes with CGI very slow

Hi There,

I wonder if you can advise, before I begin - the template is great - we are on the brink of doing something very special with it. However I have a small problem. We are using perl to generate dynamic SVG graphs to be embedded in iframes within the tiles. BTW we need to restict IP address to the server as its developed within a live environment - I can grant access to your IP if you wish to see but hopefully this is just for discussion:

If I run the cgi directly it loads within a second and is very snappy with the animation" width="600" height="600" border="1"

If I create a blank PHP file with the Iframe,

<html> <head>PHP IFrame<head> <body> <h2><font face="arial" colour="green"></font></h2> <Iframe src="" width="600" height="600" border="1"></Iframe> </body> </html>

the same result.

With this in a tile - it takes minutes:

$tile[] = array("type"=>"custom","group"=>1,"x"=>4,"y"=>0,'width'=>4,'height'=>4,"background"=>"transparent","url"=>"",    "content"=>"<iframe  width='482' height='482' src='', ></iframe>","classes"=>"noClick");

Any ideas off the top of your head ? Also do you have any methods to open a popup window when clicking a tile with an iframe ?

Many thanks, we shall be donating generously if we continue to use your template.

Re: Iframes with CGI very slow

Please try testing with javascript off (best way: open your dev tools in Chrome (F12), click on the gear for the settings -> javascript off.
Maybe the iframe loads slow because the javascript hides and shows the tile.
