Hello
How to open a side panel (panel) from a clickable image (with the command "area")?
Thank you for your reply

Re: clickable image and side panel

Simple:
1. Modify plugins/panels/desktop.js (eventually also mobile.js) and change first line from:

$(document).on("click","a[href^='panels/']",function(event){

to

$(document).on("click","a[href^='panels/'], area.panels",function(event){

2. Create a map and add class "panels" to every area, i.e.

<area shape="rect" coords="0,0,82,126" href="[PANEL_URL]" class="panels" alt="[ALT]">

Why in this way? To distinguish normal map from one to open panels. Works for me.

Re: clickable image and side panel

Great, it works perfectly.
Thank you very much for your quick response.
Subsidiary question: for opening a side panel from a link in another side panel, the same class is used?

Re: clickable image and side panel

Thank you for your answer, but it does not work on my site.
Why do you say: "An inefficient fix?"
